Use for: Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is naturally found compound from various green plants as well as from bovine and humans. It is a metabolite of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and used for osteoarthritis, inflammation, chronic pain, joint pain, rheumatoid arthritis, musculoskeletal pain, muscle cramps, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, eye inflammation and relief of allergies. It is often used as combination products (eg. glucosamine & MSM).
Concerns: MSM is mostly well tolerated in appropriate doses for short-term up to 6 months with some adverse effects of nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fatigue and headache. Avoid on pregnancy and lactation.
