Use for: Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin B, also known as Vitamin B7. It is used for biotin deficiency symptoms, hair loss, brittle nails and diabetic neuropathy. It is also used for prevention and treatment of biotin deficiency on pregnancy.
Concerns: Biotin is well tolerated in most of cases. It may cause false-positive or false-negative lab test results for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Troponin, Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) and others.
