Use for:
Quercetin is a flavonoid that can be found in foods such as onion, apples, berries and teas. It is used for cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, atherosclerosis, metabolic syndrome, cataracts, rheumatoid arthritis, niacin flush, viral infection, oral mucositis and cancer.
There is little evidence on use for Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) so other prevention methods (eg. washing hands) would be more of acceptable way for COVID-19 management.
Concerns; Quercetin is mostly well tolerated for short term use up to 12 weeks. Higher than recommended doses may cause nephrotoxicity. Avoid using on pregnancy and lactation.
